Justin Levinson

Burlington, Vermont-based power pop songwriter — big hooks, lush harmonies.

Levinson attended Berklee College of Music, where he began as a jazz trumpet major before shifting his focus to songwriting. During his freshman year, he released his first solo album, 1175 Boylston.

Since then, Levinson has built a catalog shaped by influences such as Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Elliott Smith and Ben Folds Five. His records have at times wandered into other genres, but power pop has always remained at the center of his work.

Records Born of Partnership

Two of his most acclaimed albums, Yes Man and Collamer Circle, came out of close creative partnerships. Yes Man was produced by longtime collaborator and best friend Adam Popick, while Collamer Circle was co-written with Ben Patton.

On the Road

Levinson has toured throughout the U.S. and Europe, shared stages with artists including Howie Day, Teddy Geiger and Tyler Hilton, and collaborated with Anna Nalick.

Beyond Power Pop

He has also stepped well outside the power pop world, releasing classical music under the name JX Levinson.
